With the development of car audio towards multi-channel, intelligent, and digital directions, coupled with the complex environment inside the car and the popularization of new bus technology, car amplifier audio testing is facing new challenges in channel synchronization, bus adaptation, distortion control, and other aspects. ·Multi channel and synchronous testing: The power amplifier has up to 32 output channels, which places extremely high demands on the number of acquisition channels and synchronization of the testing equipment. ·Digital bus testing adaptation: With the widespread popularity of car audio buses such as A2B, new demands have been put forward for interface adaptation of testing equipment. ·Nonlinear distortion: Currently, mainstream D-class amplifiers are susceptible to nonlinear distortion caused by inductive components, requiring precise measurement of THD+N at different powers and frequencies, which further demands the performance of testing equipment.
(1) Adopting an audio analyzer with built-in A2B interface module
The A2B interface of the audio analyzer outputs a signal to the car amplifier, which is processed by the amplifier and then filtered by CAF8. Finally, it is transmitted back to the analog input of the analyzer, and the ATC software analyzes and displays the measurement results.
(2) Adopting an independent A2B audio interface
The test signal generated by ATC is sent to the A2B audio interface through ASIO, and then to the power amplifier. The output of the power amplifier is first filtered by CAF8 and then simulated as input to the analyzer. The ATC software analyzes and displays the measurement results.
Note: When the analog input of the audio analyzer is 24 or 32 channels, the built-in A2B interface cannot be installed. In this case, the A2B audio interface can be selected
