Audio analyzer A2

A2 is a cost-effective analog 2-channel audio analyzer developed by Aptec. Its system performance and functionality are between A5 and A1DD, supporting various electroacoustic testing options and digital interface (BT/HDMI/I2S) expansion. It is a cost-effective solution for the initial development stage of consumer audio products and production line testing.

In addition to the basic test function, ATC also supports automatic test, which can produce rich graphical results and reports, Pass / Fail judgment, etc. Reports can be exported to PDF, HTML, Excel, CSV, RTF or MATLAB and other formats.

Because all ABTEC audio analyzers use the same control software, it makes the test and results easier to share. All test settings can be saved in the same engineering file, which is convenient for R & D and production to share engineering files. Users can even embed the existing waveform file and graphic data into the engineering files, greatly optimizing the test.

The BT-DUO option is a fully revised and upgraded Bluetooth hardware module with dedicated sources and receivers, new Bluetooth chips and latest firmware, higher RF power, and improved shielding features. And it can provide a series of new audio codecs to meet the diversity of current Bluetooth products. Support new operational features in config-uration files and faster Bluetooth connectivity, enabling engineers to quickly and accurately test Bluetooth products and master their device perfor-mance.

AB-PDM option

Pulse-density modulation (PDM) is a 1-bit, high clock frequency data stream used in MEMS digital microphones, which is widely used in smart phone design. The audio analyzer equipped with A5-PDM module can be directly connected to any device with PDM input or output to achieve comprehensive audio testing required by the highly mobile telecommunications industry.

AB-PDM16 Option

PDM16, as an optional input module for Ax series audio analyzers, consists of an input module installed in the analyzer, a remote interface box, and an extension cable. It can provide up to 16 channels of accurate inter channel phase information for sampling, which is the key data for creating MEMS microphone arrays. PDM16 utilizes synchronous sampling based on a common clock to ensure clear and visible phase relationships between channels.

AB-DSIO Option

The DSIO option adds a multi-channel digital serial interface to the audio analyzer, providing direct connections for chip level interfaces and playing a decisive role in the design and development of circuit boards. It is easy to use, with accurate test results, and can be widely used for audio quality testing of various digital devices.

AB-HDMI2+eARC Option

The HDMI 2+eARC module allows engineers to measure HDMI audio quality and audio format compatibility on consumer audio devices such as surround sound receiv-ers, set-top boxes, streaming players, televisions, sound-bars, Blu ray disc players, as well as smartphones and tablets. Provide connections for source and sink devices, as well as additional HDMI connections for auxiliary video input and monitor output. Supporting ARC and eARC has increased the ability to test ARC and eARC audio quality and connectivity on receivers, televisions, and streaming hardware that support them.

AB-ADIO Option

The advanced digital interface module AB-ADIO provides AES3 and AES/EBU balanced digital input/output interfaces on the XLR port, unbalanced SPDIF digital input/output interfaces on the BNC port, and fiber optic digital input/output interfaces on TOSLINK. In addition, the ADIO module can generate advanced interface damage signals and perform complex testing on devices through AES/SPDIF/TOSLINK. It also includes an advanced master clock module AMC, which is used to process input and output clock signals and synchronize with external devices. It can also generate and test jitter signals for interface modules that support jitter (ADIO, DSIO, HDMI, etc.).

Perceived audio measurement is widely used in smartphones, VoIP networks, and device testing to measure how people perceive sound quality. Perceived sound quality testing is particularly useful for devices with limited bandwidth or bit rates. Using standard sine wave testing parameters such as frequency response/distortion cannot effectively test and compare the performance of different devices. Only a combination of perceptual and electrical audio testing can fully demonstrate the performance of these devices.

AX-STIPA Option

AX-STIPA is a plugin that uses the STIPA method for measuring the Speech Transmission Index (STI). For designers of public broadcasting, flight recorders, and police/fire/emergency communication systems, the Voice Transmission Index (STI) test plugin can provide STIPA measurements and voice level measurements that comply with the international standard IEC 60268-16 (2011).
